Carleton University offers both MSc and PhD programs in Biology. Available positions:

Graduate studentships (Master, MSc) in Soybean-SCN host-pathogen interactions (genomics and computational biology analysis) with specific focus on novel gene discovery and allele-specific marker developments.

Graduate studentships (PhD) in soybean functional genomics and transcriptomics (RNA-sequencing) with specific focus on seed protein content, QTL mining, novel gene discovery and allele-specific marker developments.

Full-time summer research opportunities are available usually via funding such as NSERC-Undergraduate Summer Research Award or Dean’s Summer Research Internship and etc.

Carleton undergraduate’s research thesis projects (BIOL4908). You may need to discuss potential opportunities for 4908 thesis projects with Dr. Samanfar no later than the fall semester of your 3rd year of undergraduate studies. Lab spots usually fill up about a year ahead of starting.
